CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES MOTHER'S DAY OUT (MDO) MDO is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., September through May. We offer a Two Year Old room, a Three Year Old room, and a Four Year Old room. Activities are age appropriate and include singing, playing and fellowship along with learning. CHILDREN'S BIBLE STUDY Children in 1st through 6th Grades meet on Wednesdays after school from 3:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The lessons and crafts are scripture related, and a time is made for prayer. KIDS NIGHT OUT This event is held the first Friday of each month from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Children ages 4 through the 6th grade are welcome to enjoy an evening of fun. Snacks and drinks are provided. The cost is $5.00 per child. This is a great way for parents to have a free night to themselves. WACKY WEDNESDAY'S This is a fun-filled summer program for children in 1st – 6th Grades. Activities range from trips, plays and craft days. In addition, the children host the Senior Tea to thank all those who model the Christian Life. Parents are asked to volunteer for at least one activity during the summer. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL VBS is an amazing week! Children ages 4 through the 6th Grade meet from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a light supper, Bible study, music, crafts, recreation and lots of fun. There is a new theme each year. The week concludes with a program to showcase what has been learned. CONFIRMATION CLASSES Confirmation classes are offered to those in the sixth grade. The group meets weekly to study the doctrines of the church and learn more about Methodism. A retreat is held toward the end of the sessions, and the confirmands are honored at a dinner to celebrate this important step in their faith journey. |
